Where do the cars come from?

Public listings on AutoTrader, the UK’s biggest car marketplace. We focus on private sellers, where the biggest gaps between asking price and dealer price appear. You contact the seller and buy directly. Flipilo never sits in the middle.

How do you know a car is cheap?

Each car is compared with similar cars (same model, similar age and mileage), with every comparison price adjusted to match. We use the point 40% up from the cheapest rather than the average, because overpriced cars sit unsold and drag averages up. Private and dealer prices are kept separate, so the margin you see is the gap between buying privately and what dealers ask.

What about damaged or problem cars?

We read every seller’s description and filter out cars described as damaged, non-runners, ex-taxis, heavily modified or imported. No filter is perfect, so always check the car, its history and its MOT before you buy.

Why is access limited?

A great deal is only great if you’re one of the first to call. We cap how many members receive alerts in each area so you’re not racing everyone else for the same car.

What does it cost?
